At Morrison & Co. Preserves, we believe the best recipes are passed down through generations. Our jams, jellies, pickles, and sauces come straight from the kitchens of my grandmother Dorothy, Aunt Marlene, and mother Gail – women known for their love of preserving and bringing people together through their cooking. Inspired by their legacy, I’ve spent over 25 years working with these family recipes, handcrafting each batch with care, just like they used to. I am now sharing these products with you.
Using locally farmed produce from Ontario and Quebec, our products capture the vibrant flavors of the harvest. Everything we make is made by hand in small batches with no artificial preservatives, so we can ensure the highest quality and freshness. My name is Scott, and I'm the "& Co" part of our brand name (the 3rd generation) – the keeper of these treasured recipes. With every jar, I’m proud to share the flavours and history that have helped shaped my family memories. Welcome to Morrison & Co. Every summer of my youth was spent at our family cottage on Lac Poisson Blanc in Western Quebec. The days were a blend of racing through forests, swimming in the lake, and eagerly awaiting the evening meal. In the heart of the cottage, the kitchen was a shared domain between my Aunt Marlene and my mother, Gail, with everything overseen by my Nana Dorothy. Together, they filled the air with the aroma of meals that celebrated the land around us.
We picked strawberries and raspberries along the old dirt road. In early autumn, crab apples from the local farm pastures were gathered from the back of a tractor. These were all transformed into flavourful jams and jellies. These women dedicated themselves to preserving flavours, not just through meals, but through time-honoured recipes of jams and pickles that remain at the heart of Morrison & Co. today.
